- Integral 1.0m high handhold and large platform for stability. NEW IMPROVED models allow handrail to fold away along ladder side when stowed and to be either vertical or inclined when in use.
- Single sided handrail allows safe step-through on & off lorry bed.
- Folding top platform lays flat on lorry bed and cams against ladder to form correct ladder angle automatically. Once weight is applied, camming action makes it almost impossible for ladder or platform to slip or move at all, giving a solid feeling of security to users. A smarter design than several competitor models!
- Captive tie secures ladder to vehicle rope hooks during use.
- Lightweight alloy construction makes them easy to set up and remove.
- Two popular sizes for bed heights up to 1.40m as required by most customers. Now available in other sizes for lower and higher lorry beds and normally in stock.

There are a few different versions of this type of ladder for safe access onto lorry beds and we have tested all of them. Without any doubt at all this LOADSTEP is easily THE BEST! The large tread plate which rests flat on the lorry bed locks the ladder into the correct angle for safety and prevents the Loadstep from moving as soon as the user’s weight is on the bottom rung. A captive tie strap with quick adjust buckle is included for attachment to rope hooks under the bed but this is seldom used because the clever design of the top tread plate ensures it cannot move anyway.
